          The find of airplane bomb WWII during works of soil remediation for Total in Rieme

 

     Maandag 4 december 2006 A previously detected airplane bomb (US gp 500 lbs with tail ignition M101 A2) on the terrains of Total in Rieme was exposed by an expert of aDeDe.

 

     The approaching of an explosive is done as followed:

  • Detection of the area - processing and interpreting the acquired data by software - marking a list of objects.

  • Marking significant objects on the area.

  • Placing the necessary collective means of security based on the risk analysis.

  • Diggin awaythe upper layer (1m) under supervision of the explosive expert with a secured digging crane.

  • Further manual exposing of the explosive by the expert by using specialised gear.

  • Identification and danger analysis of found ammunition.

  • Information and transmission to demining service of the army (dovo).
